Every Child Matters

 

Every Child Matters is the new approach to the health and well being of all young people and children from birth till 19.

The Government's aim is for every child is to achieve the 5 outcomes of Every Child Matters these are

· Be Healthy

· Stay Safe

· Enjoy and Achieve

· Making a Positive Contribution

· Achieve Economic Well Being

All organisations that provide services for young people and children will be teaming up in new ways by sharing information and working together to protect young people and children from harm and help them achieve what they want in life.

Early Years Foundation Stage

 

From September 2008  all childcare providers caring for children aged 0-5 will have to follow the Early Years Foundation Stage. This incorporates Birth to 3 matters, Foundation Stage and the National Standards. All providers must work together with parents to ensure their children are meeting the themes and principals of EYFS.

These are:

· A Unique Child

· Positive Relationships

· Enabling Environments

· Learning and Development.

All children are working towards the Every Child Matters outcomes and the Early Years Foundation Stage will help with that. I will ensure that I work with any other settings that your child attends as well as fully working with you and your existing routines. All my policies and procedures are written with the 5 Every Child Matters outcomes along with the requirements of Early Years Foundation Stage in mind. My business portfolio can be seen on request and I will issue all parents a copy of my policies and procedures. I will require you to sign permissions forms for certain activities and care routines.
